Rain, Sleet, Snow, and Hail....but not lunch?

Yesterday Lindsey and I got a note in the mailbox telling us we needed to pick up a package at the Post Office. I guess we weren't home when the mail-lady tried to deliver it. So, during my lunch break, Lindsey, Nacho, and I go up to the Post Office to pick up the package. We arrive at 12:20pm. I walk in and a big metal door has been pulled down blocking the counter. I quickly run through all the national holidays that I know, and coming up blank decided there must be another problem. So I look on the door and see a sign with this written on it....

Now I know that mail people need to eat lunch too, but isn't the lunch hour a rush time at the Post Office? Sure, they can make it through rain, sleet, snow, and hail, trudging along and toughing out the most severe of weather to make sure we get all of our letters and packages. But in King George there is apparently a limit to the extent to which the mail people will go to see that all my postage needs are met. I have discovered that limit, it is...the lunch break.

Not sure how far you would scroll down, but I love the chalkboard you made! You've inspired me to convert a broken frame made of old wood into a chalkboard too. Thanks for the great idea!
