No, we're not pregnant. BUT we do have a job! Well, I don't have a job; Schub does. I've been trying to get him to post about it to update everyone, but he is too busy or something... I obviously am not. Plus, we're going to Chicago this weekend and I want the blog to be up-to-date so I can post the Chicago pictures when we get back. So, I am actually following
Kat's lead, who just posted about Penny's new job, and decided to go ahead and tell you all about Schub's job.
SO.... We are moving to Virginia! King George, Virginia, to be exact. Schub got a job with
Grace Presbyterian Church as a two-year intern. It's so funny how God works and brings us to something that is so different from our expectations, yet so perfect. After we applied for several jobs at various churches, we started to realize that Jason's Crusade experience is not exactly what a church considers experience. Why, I do not know. Most churches told us they were hoping for someone a little older, or with a little more "mileage." As soon as we got connected with Grace to interview for this internship position, things just began to fall in place so quickly. First we had a phone interview, after which they asked if we would come out and meet the session one weekend. So Jason and I both got to head out to VA and see the town and the church. They offered us the job while we were out there and we accepted a few days later! It's a small church of about 100 people with only a head pastor, so Schub will really be doing a little of everything. Again, a blessing because he has so many interests and passions. I think this will really give him great experience in a church setting and will really help prepare him for whatever kind of pastor he ends up being. He'll be doing some preaching, some outreach, some admin, and maybe some small group stuff, and anything else that comes up.
We are really excited about going there. We have really enjoyed getting to know the pastor and the elders. They have really taken care of us through the whole process. Schub's really looking forward to serving with them. We also had a blast hanging out with the elder's family's and meeting some of the folks at the church.
AND we already have a place to live, which I am SUPER excited about. We will be in townhouse in Dahlgren, actually right outside the gate to the base! It's only about 6 miles from the church. It's 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath; it has a DISHWASHER, a FIREPLACE, a WALK-IN CLOSET, a small backyard with a PEACHTREE, and..... we can have a PUPPY!! Can you tell I'm looking forward to it? Here are a few pics of the place:

So the next major thing we are praying for is a job for me. And we are officially moving from St. Louis on May 29 - exactly 2 weeks after Jason graduates -which is coming up REALLY quickly and is making me a lot more sad that I thought it would for some reason. Oh right, because I love it here. We are so thankful for this job, though, and thank everyone who has been praying for us!!
