Make new friends... and keep the old
So over the weekend I got to go to Salt Lake City with Liz Rutter to visit Liz McDonald (two of my best friends from college) and meet the new little McDonald... Baby Quinn!! He was so cute, Liz and Liz were so fun, Salt Lake City was so beautiful, skiing was so great (and exhausting), and I'm so glad I got to go!! I took a bunch of pictures over the weekend, but here are a few of the highlights.

Happy Valentine's Day

Guess Who
I had this conversation yesterday when on the phone with my 3-year old nephew, Noah (who I later learned was given the phone after his older brother answered it and said "I don't know if it's a man or a woman. Here. You take it.):
Me: Who is this?
N: BABY!
Me: Baby??
N: BABY POOPY!!!
Me: Oooh, that's gross.
N: hehehehe
Me: So who is this?
N: QUACK!
Me: Oh, you're a duck!
N: Noooo... I'm a penguin!!
Me: I don't think penguins quack.
N: ROOOOAAAARRRRR!!!
Me: OH! You're a dinosaur!!
N: No, I'm a BEAR!
Me (trying to play along at this point): RROOOOOAAAARRRR!!! Who am I?!?!
N: YOU'RE A PHONE!!!

Snow Days... and nights
We FINALLY got some snow in St. Louis this week. It has been so cold this winter and there hasn't really been any snow at all. But it did finally snow this week. Schub (and pretty much every non-Wash U employee in St. Louis) had two snow days. After dinner with some friends on Tuesday night, the snow had really piled high. We spontaneously (we're so crazy...) decided that we should take advantage of the snow - and possibly our last winter somewhere cold - and go sledding, even though it was like 11:30 pm and I knew I would have to work the next day. We didn't go all the way to Art Hill or anything (the sledding hot spot of St. Louis), but there was a good little hill in our own back yard. Some old cardboard box in the basement made for a good sled... and it was a good time!

All bundled up on our way out.
