Another relaxing day

This morning when I put Adelaide down for her morning nap, I declared that I would not do any house work today (besides one necessary load of laundry). Not for any reason other than I just didn't feel like it. So I took a morning nap too, and we both slept for an hour and a half.  We played around the house for a little while and then decided to go to the park with a neighbor.

Unfortunately there were no baby swings like I was hoping there would be, but Adelaide enjoyed just watching the big kids play.

After a warm bottle (and a McDonald's smoothie for the moms)...

it was time for another nap... and a workout for mom.
Then while I was making dinner I got to listen to Adelaide laughing hysterically at her daddy. All three of us ate dinner together, Adelaide took a bath and went to bad, and then we had a visit from some neighbors and we sat outside on the front porch chatting while kids played in the yard.

In other news, Adelaide is 6 months old tomorrow! Maybe I will make half a cake :-)  Her 6 month check up is on Wednesday, so stay tuned for stats.. and hopefully more pictures.

Sunday Afternoon

Watching the Masters after soup and grilled cheese for lunch....

Playing in this super cute shirt that I got at Once Upon a Child for $1.50.

I mean, look at how long this girl's hair is.

Practicing with the sippy cup...

.... sleeping through the Masters.

Jason and Adelaide both kept their Sabbath holy by sleeping for 2-3 hrs.

Jeannie, you will never guess what I did. A c-r-a-f-t. That's right. On my own initiative and everything. It even involved sewing. watch out... I'm a pastor's wife.

We are on our way to grill out with some neighbors for dinner before Jason goes to youth group. It's been quite a pleasant day. Hope everyone had a restful and happy Sunday!

Book Worm

Sheer Talent

That's right. That's what it takes to burn RICE. And apparently, I've got it.

I guess I will soon find out just how stainless our stainless steal pots really are.

I think this year I'll ask for a rice cooker for Christmas. Seriously, who does this? I really must be one in a million.

Speaking of brilliant ideas

Today Schub had this brilliant idea to prevent himself from tracking in mud after grinding stumps outside in the rain and hail...

I do appreciate his thoughtfulness.

I tried to contain her...

So today I had this brilliant idea to keep Adelaide in one place while I did some cleaning up...

It's a good thing I went back in to snap her picture because this is what happened next...

This girl is so mobile already.  She is SO close to doing a real deal crawl (you know, up on her knees... rocking back and forth). When that happens I will NOT be able to keep up.
