This past weekend I got to go to the lake with some of my very best
college girlfriends. 9 out of the 12 girls in our group of friends were
able to make it, which is pretty amazing. This was some much-needed
refreshing time for me with gooooood friends. Like the kind that already
know you so you don't ask any get-to-know-you questions. And the kind
that makes you laugh harder than anyone else you know. And the kind
where you can kind of make fun of each other because you know that your
love for each other is so strong and good that you don't take anything
too personally and it makes you laugh at yourself too. This girls'
weekend was much different than any other b/c for the first time there
were multiple babies there with us. We didn't leave the house
much
at all. We did a lot of sitting around and watching kids play. The
days were relaxing and fun and the evenings were deep, funny... and
late. I came back SUPER tired, yet somehow still so refreshed.

It was SO so so special to have Liz there this weekend. All these girls are dear to my heart, but Liz was the only one who lived with me for all four years of college (thank you Clemson pot-luck). She is in med school in Memphis, TN, and we hadn't seen each other since I was 7.5 months pregnant with Adelaide... which means she had never met Adelaide before this weekend! It was so special for me to see her with Adelaide and see Adelaide love her so quickly. Also... Liz is getting married in March and we all got to meet her amazing fiance who drove with her 9.5 hours so she could spend the weekend with us while he camped by himself. ha. what a guy :-)

| Little Ruby, the happiest baby in the world. |
As I've mentioned before, Adelaide is really into babies right now. She was basically in baby heaven this weekend, particularly with little Ruby ("Roo Roo"), who is just 3.5 months old. Every opportunity she had, she would run to the couch, set a pillow next to her and yell "YAP! YAP!" (lap) until someone brought Ruby to her.
On Saturday afternoon we all went out on a boat ride. As usual, Pryor was our faithful, happy driver.

| Mamas and babies on a boat (Ruby was sleeping). Sam promptly fell asleep. |
Aaaannnd then Pryor let Adelaide drive the boat.
She was pretty excited about it.
And then there was the time that Meg caught Adelaide with her hand in a 5lb bag of m&m's. There was nothing much we could do but take it away from her and laugh hysterically. She wiped her own mouth with her sleeve a little bit before we could get this picture on Liz's phone. She must have been sad that I told her it was time for bed. And side note, she woke up reeeally early the next morning. I blame her little late-night snack.
