Neighbors again!
Our awesome friends Gavin and Esther were neighbors just across the courtyard in St. Louis... and now they are neighbors just across the Potomac River! The Ortlunds just moved to D.C. where Gavin has an internship. I drive 45 minutes just to get to Target, so the fact that Gavin and Esther are less than an hour and a half away in D.C. really makes it feel like they are right down the road. Gavin started his internship today, so before their new post-grad, big city lives got too crazy, they came down to enjoy the slower pace of life here in King George for a night. It was so so good to see them and catch up! And I'm stoked that they are close enough now for a day-trip visit up to D.C. any time!
