Our new digs

Welcome to our new place. Here's the brief tour. Excuse the mess. We haven't quite found a home for everything yet.

Here is our front entryway (you're looking at the front door with the kitchen to the right and half bath/laundry room to the left. the living room/dining room is behind you). We are going to make that awesome board that Elisa gave us into a chalkboard. We just bought chalkboard paint, but need to find some wood that will fit in there. It will be our little message board with key hooks and little holder thingies.

Here is the half bath. I posted this picture so that Mom and Dad could see where we displayed that awesome painting. Behind the curtain is the washer/dryer (that doesn't blow dust everywhere and get your stuff all dirty...)



Here's the kitchen (pardon the dishes drying next to the sink). We (with the wonderful help of Schub's parents - THANK YOU LARRY AND TRISH) painted it yellow last week. You can see the sliding doors to the backyard in the background.

This is where we leisurely eat breakfast with the windows open and watch everyone else rush off to work. Notice the actual pantry with a door... we are no longer storing our dry goods on a bookshelf.


Here's that little wall cutout again... looking into the kitchen from the dining room.Here's the dinging room. We will get all those things put away and put some pictures on that naked wall.

Welcome to the living room (adjacent to the dining room... I'm standing in that entryway. the stairs are to the right). Those are the shutter windows where we found billions of ants. Also I think we might do the orange accent wall again around the fireplace. What do you think??

Schub's office(/guest room)!! definitely the room we are most proud of. Everything was pretty much his idea... the green walls with the black bookshelves and the fabric on the back wall of each bookshelf. We went to Ikea to pick out the fabric and finished it up over the weekend. It turned out great!

...To our boring room. No colored walls and no pictures up yet. We need to spruce it up a bit.
