Big Drummer Boy

For Adelaide's birthday, Dana and Brad sent Adelaide a really awesome toy. A drum with little drum sticks. Adelaide likes it. She really likes it. She plays with it a good bit... probably every day.  She has learned how to beat the drum with the sticks and she thinks it's pretty fun. 

But Schub. Schub LOVES the drum.  He has said multiple times that the drum was SUCH a good gift. And in the evenings when Schub has play time with Adelaide, guess what he likes to play with. That's right. The drum.  And he plays and he plays and he plays with the drum. 

Just to give you an idea of what our house has sounded like ever since Adelaide received the drum about a week ago, I took a little video footage last Friday night. Yes, this is what our Friday nights look like these days. Actually, we had friends over for dinner on Friday, but they also have a little baby, so nights with friends end early these days so that kids can go to bed.  So this is what our house sounded like on Friday night after dinner.
