Good News

Well, I thought I'd post an update since I'm sure everyone is so incredibly interested in Adelaide's sleep patterns. Just wanted to let you all know that she slept 3-3.5 hrs at a time last night. She ate at 7pm and we laid her down around 8... then she woke up at 11pm, 2:30am and 5:45am... then she went back to sleep for another 1.5-2 hrs before we all woke up for the morning. So the night before was hopefully a weird fluke night. We all slept great last night.

Thanks for all the tips for good sleep!  I plan to try every single piece of advice in hopes of getting the babe to sleep as long as possible right now and through the night as soon as possible!

sounds like an awesome night! way to go. i found that the bedtime routine really started working well around 6-8 weeks. that's when both of my girls started going to sleep at a more regular bedtime. and the older they got the earlier i made their bedtime until they were going to bed at 7. that is still lily's bedtime and eva goes down not long after, and she's almost 5. also, lily was a tummy sleeper. i didn't swaddle her much and eventually started putting her on her tummy and she liked it better, and still sleeps that way. of course everything you read says NO TUMMY. but hey. what can i say. also, did i tell you about the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child? seriously a must have book.

I remember I went to FJ's one month MD appointment and asked when she might start sleeping longer chunks. Right after that she eliminated one feeding, and then slowly another, and now she is sleeping really well. The difference is amazing! I can't wait for you to get there.
