- Nacho is doing great with Adelaide. He is so so curious, but so gentle. He likes to sit at my feet when I feed her. When she cries, he stares at her and starts whining like he wants to make it all better.
- Last night after a feeding I set my alarm for 4 hours later, assuming that Adelaide would wake up before then anyway, but wanted to not go any longer than that just in case. When my alarm went off she was stirring and fussing a little, so I turned my alarm off expecting her to start crying and then I would get up. Well, we both fell back asleep for an hour. So I got almost 5 hours of almost uninterrupted sleep last night. **For any baby-wisers, I promise we don't usually go this long. We definitely would like to have a good schedule for her and usually feed her every 2-3 hrs. But who can argue with 5 hours of sleep at night?!
- Adelaide spent her first Saturday of life watching college football with Pop. We're starting her off on the right foot.
- Recovery from childbirth can be rough. People really should warn you more about that.
- I think Adelaide will have the entire Big Picture Story Bible read to her before she is a week old. Just yesterday they were in the creation story and today I think they were somewhere around Jesus and Nicodemus. She's such a pastor's kid.
- We changed 4 poopy diapers in like 10 minutes this morning. She had a dirty diaper, so I let Schub take her to clean her up while I went into the other room. Then I heard the quote of the day, "She just sneezed and shot poop bullets all over me!" So then we had to change her again and while we were doing that she peed all over the changing pad and herself. Then we put another clean diaper on and within minutes she had sneezed and pooped again. Guess we should have waited just a few minutes to make sure it was all really out.
- I kind of secretly love it when one of her outfits gets dirty because that means I get to pick out something else cute to put her again and again :-)

loves the pictures!
i only fed tripp every 4 hours at night for the first two weeks, then after that- let him go for as long as possible- you need that at night!!
Enjoy the long stretches at night. Christina always wanted to sleep 4-5 hours during the day (I would try to wake her up, but was so tired from the waking up every 1-2 hours at night-altohugh that only lasted a couple months)!! They usually have one long stretch. As long as she is getting enough feedings in and gaining weight, don't worry about waking up at night to feed her. She looks beautiful by the way-love the pics. I know recovery can be rough (I feel like I missed that memo as well). I will be praying for you and the new family.

i say let her sleep at night. well i only say that because our pedi said that. BUT you are the mama so you get to do what you want!!!
the picking out outfits never gets old. i think way more about what s wears then me.
love you!
The "poop bullets" made me laugh hysterically. I am so happy for your beautiful family, and I can understand the outfit thing. I get "baby fever" every time I go into a store and see all the little human clothes...then stuff like poop bullets remind me that I am probably not ready. LOL! The pics with her Pop are lovely. Please tell your Dad hello for me, its been YEARS.
Yay for 5 hours of sleep - whoo hoo! I LOVED your last comment - I remember thinking that too :). I'm sending our little package tomorrow! Love you all!

hahahaha, poop bullets! nice! Loved this update- sounds like you guys have already got the hang of parenting :)
Congrats to the Schub family! Thanks for the updates and very funny stories.
Glad things are going well. Your stories make me laugh. And I agree with everyone above - let her sleep at night. Keep to a schedule during the day. You're doing great!
