27 weeks...

... and looking huge. Seriously, I am always shocked by these pictures. And I'm not exactly loving this one (no makeup on and had just been laying out in the hammock for like 2 hours). So if you're first thought was "WOAH! LINDSEY IS SOOOOO BIG!" then I kindly ask that you refrain from leaving that in the comments and just say it outloud to yourself instead. thanks :-)  I mean, they say the camera adds 10 lbs, right? yeah... let's just go with that.

Nothing really to report on the pregnancy front. I'm only throwing up about once a week now, which I can handle. But I will definitely be glad when I can eat a bowl of cereal with confidence that I can keep it down. I take my glucose test this Thursday, so I hope everything comes out normal there. And I am entering my 3rd trimester so I'll start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now which is crazy!!

We haven't started putting the nursery together and I haven't read any parenting books. We are hoping to start refinishing a dresser this weekend and we plan to do the nursery after our beach vacation the first week of August (the room that will be the nursery is currently Jason's office so we just can't kick him out too soon). I've heard a lot of good things about Happiest Baby on the Block, so I think I'm going to plan to read that. Any other suggestions??  Otherwise, no news... just growing... obviously!

I love it!! You poor thing - I can't believe you still throw up once a week, but it sounds like that's progress, so I guess that's good! :) I'm 6 weeks behind you, and I already feel huge - eeeek! :) So, I understand. As for parenting books, Brandon and I are reading together "Shepherding a Child's Heart" by Tedd Tripp. We are finding it very helpful and gospel-centered, so I'd recommend (so far)! Love the updates!!

you do look great. it makes me really miss you guys to see you look all preggo and cute! i would definitely recommend happiest baby, i have it and like it a lot. i read babywise and although i think it is a lot "stricter" and almost unrealistic in some ways, i think the principle of it (eat, awake, sleep) is good. also, healthy sleep habits, happy child (or something like that) is a really good one! hope you are doing well!! we miss you guys!

you look fantastic!!! i can't believe you are already 27 weeks. so sorry you are still throwing up. that part totally sucks, i know. thankfully that part will end. as far as books go i am not a babywise fan but i lean more towards dr. sears stuff but the best book i read was healthy sleep habits, happy child by dr. weissbluth. great book about sleep and how much babies need and when (babies through adolescents). very helpful book. shaun usually tells people just don't read books. :) mostly because it can be overwhelming when every book you read contradicts every other book. you guys will be great parents!

this is a GREAT shot. and, need i remind you, you are supposed to get HUGE when you are preggo, so enough with the "don't tell me i look so big". Its like complaining that you are pale in the middle of winter. :) You look big and BEAUTIFUL! I love it!! Can't wait to see you next weekend!
PS Love that Jason had a fun first father's day.

I know how you feel. Each time I take another prego picture I think, "this is what I look like????" David keeps reminding me I don't look huge, I look pregnant. But I'm sorry, there is no baby in my cheeks or arms or love handles!! But anything for those babies, right!! And it is only temporary.

Also, we got the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD and watched it instead of reading the book. It was a lot quicker and covered all the important parts. I would recommend that.

Hope you keep feeling better, especially with the third trimester joys coming our way.

awww Lindsey you look so CUTE!! You look so beautiful in all your glory :) I love it- & I have to agree with Brooke- you're supposed to get big in the belly section- it's cute & there's a person in there! haha. You are going to be a wonderful mommy!!

I love the healthy/happy book- gave me a lot of freedom after reading babywise. But, I think a lot of parents just read some & then make their best guess! You should just get Schub to do all the reading & come back with bullet points....I mean, since he's your resident researcher & all.
