Thank you, Christy Spink

Our neighbor Christy made an exciting discovery a few weeks ago. She has since introduced us to the wide array of inexpensive soft drinks offered at the local QT (that's the Quick Time gas station, for anyone who doesn't know). Jason and I have often seen people with giant plastic QT cups, but I guess we just figured that they like to go inside the gas stations when filling up their tank. Little did we know that it is worth making a stop at the gas station just to get this 32 oz plastic cup filled with your favorite soft drink (or iced tea) for only $.69. That's right! 32 oz drinks for $.69.

We were so overwhelmed by the wide variety of options, including a choice of cubed ice or crushed ice, that we were apparently slowing down the regulars. As we stood back trying to decide between diet or regular, a shot of vanilla or a shot of cherry, a woman abruptly barged herself in front of us with her a giant plastic mug. With cubed ice, 3/4 Diet Dr. Pepper, 1 shot vanilla, 1 shot cherry, and another 1/4 Diet Dr. Pepper, she knew EXACTLY what she wanted.

And so went our first experience at QT. Now I understand why everyone stops there on their way to work in the morning. What a deal. And I thoroughly enjoyed my soda - with that awesome crushed ice like at Zaxby's - with our dinner at Sculpture Park, paired with a good cover band and a good movie. It was a great night! Thank you, Christy Spink.

Whoa....secure the eye...strap on a goggle! What in the world is that, anyway?

Amazing scoop w/ the drinks! I love the blow-by-blow of the experience...sounds like soup nazi set-up!
