We went to the dr. yesterday for Adelaide's 9mo well-baby check up. She is doing GREAT! Of course, I didn't need the doctor to tell me that, but he confirmed it. Here are her stats:
27in long (50%)
16 lbs 14oz (10% - but staying on her curve perfectly so everyone is very happy!)
head circumference was also 50%... can't remember what the number was
Things Adelaide is doing:
- still pushing things and walking behind them
- walking when we hold her hands
- trying to let go and stand by herself for a split second... sometimes for a whole second :-)
- laughing A LOT
- reaching for other people besides mommy and daddy
- looking adorable
- cutting a new tooth on the top
- picking up lots of foods (and lots of non-foods) with her little fingers and feeding herself
- grew into size 2 shoes
- looking adorable
- LOVING the water and not at all phased when her face gets wet (the other day we were at a friend's pool and Adelaide was playing with a toy that sinks. So when she let go she could see it at the bottom of the pool and she kept leaning over - while she was being held, of course - to try to reach the toy, but kept getting a face full of water. She would sit up and take a big gasp and then just keep trying over and over, sticking her face right in the water every time. It was hilarious)
- biting Nacho's tail (that only happened once - poor Nacho yelped, which made Adelaide cry. She hasn't tried it again since... don't worry, they're still friends.)
- opening and closing, opening and closing, opening and closing, opening and closing.... everything that can be opened and closed. it's her favorite game.
- have I mentioned she is adorable??
I have not been taking many pictures lately so we had a quick photo shoot just for the sake of this post.

oh my word adorable is right. What a happy baby--man she must be a GREAT sleeper ;). I know I say this all the time, but you really have such a beautiful, fun, happy, smart girl. She is developing soooo impressively! I can.not.wait to meet her. I hope she and Jonathan fall in love at first sight. i love YOU!
ps after our wonderful chat... this has been such a rough nap day! haha--you are right. as soon as you get it figured out, something changes. oh motherhood...

I have patiently been waiting for a Schubert family blog update...well, more specifically Adelaide pictures! I can't believe she is almost walking! She's getting soooooo BIG!
She really has aged since the last time I saw her... still your sweet LITTLE girl but she looks so much older! She is, like everyone has said, absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the update :)
