Going hog-wild in Iowa!

This past weekend we got to visit our wonderful friends the Jensens at their current home in Iowa. They are living on the farm where Missy grew up, where her dad raises hogs. It was so so fun. We had an awesome time exploring the farm with them and getting to see a little of life in rural Iowa! The Jensens were our neighbors - right across the hall - for two years here in St. Louis. So 8 hours was a lot further than the 0.8 seconds we are used to traveling to see them... but it was so worth it!

Jason peaking inside the silo.

Us with some piglets at the hog unit.

In the full getup
Pigs everywhere! They have over 700 sows and produce over 1,000 piglets every 28 days!!

We even got to see some being born!!

On Saturday, Phillip got up and started making us some chilli on the wood burning stove that's in their renovated chicken coop! complete with booths and couches and the stove for warmth... and chilli. It was wonderful.

Jason and Evan... buddies reunited.

Possibly the most interesting museum I've ever been to... ask us about it some time.

We love you guys and miss you!! hope you can make it down in May!!
